Lychora is a small lab-grown diamond studio based in Englewood, NJ. We sell engagement rings, bridal bands, anniversary bands, loose center stones, and a small line of fine jewelry. We do not sell mined diamonds.
Why lab-grown
A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. Same hardness, same brilliance, same chemical composition as a stone formed underground — the only differences are how it was made and what you pay. For most shoppers, the math is straightforward: a 1-carat lab-grown center stone of equivalent quality typically runs 70–90% less than its mined counterpart. We’ve built the studio around that premise.
How we work
Every center stone above 0.25 carat is IGI-certified. The report ships in the box and is independently verifiable at igi.org. Each piece is inspected by hand — prong tension, stone seating, finish, certificate match — before it goes anywhere. Settings are made from recycled 14K gold; sterling silver options exist for prototyping. Pieces are made to order; most ship in 3–6 weeks.
How we price
The price you see is the price the piece actually costs to make, plus a sensible margin. We don’t mark up to fake a sale, and we don’t publish a manufacturer’s-suggested-retail number that nobody pays.
